Friday, at last! This week has been a busy one, with a load of new assignments, finalizing the plans for our upcoming trip to Europe and trying to squeeze in the slightest bit of down time. Hectic schedules aside, Harrison and I did manage to have a little movie date on Monday evening (finally saw The Wolf of Wall Street, and it was totally worth the wait!). It’s a good thing we did that, too, because quality time together will be hard to come by with a trade show and my family in town this weekend.
But for now, I’m trying my hardest to put everything on my to-do list out of my mind—if only for a moment—to focus on all the things I want to wear, live with, eat and visit this week:
Wear: Lace-top pencil dress by ASOS
Inspired by Keira Knightley’s cute-but-conservative Chanel dress, I put together a piece yesterday about stars who can pull off the demure-but-sexy look flawlessly, and it has me wanting a covered-up-but-sultry dress of my own. I’m loving this classic black one with its peek-a-boo lace and curve-hugging pencil skirt, though I’d definitely want to layer a cami under it.
Live With: A super-luxurious, deep-soaking tub
It’s been a long week, and there’s nothing I want more right now than to grab a glass of wine and the latest issue of Real Simple and soak in a big, bubbly bathtub for the rest of the evening. And if the bathtub is shiny—a la this one-—then it’s all the better.
Eat: Brussels Sprouts, Bacon + Parmesan Pizza (via White On Rice Couple)
I’ve been on a Brussels sprouts kick recently, and the thought of it piled atop of a crispy pizza with two of my favorite ingredients—bacon and Parmesan cheese—makes me want to drop everything I’m doing and make this pizza right this second. I’ve never actually made my own pizza (even though I’ve always wanted to), but considering that Harrison and I eat pizza at least once a week, maybe this will convince me to finally give it a try.
Visit: Ireland (beautiful photo via Ali Harper Photography)
Lucky for me, I actually will be visiting my favorite place in the world just one month from today! I studied abroad there a few summers ago and have been itching to go back, and now I can’t believe how soon I’ll be there. I started booking our hotel rooms two nights ago (we’re going to rent a car to travel across the country), and I’ve been feeling nostalgic for the friendly people and incomparable beauty ever since. The next month couldn’t go by fast enough!
What do you have your eye on this week?
